Cantina Mayahuel Restaurant Review: Although this cantina is known for its large selection of, and expertise with, tequila, it also serves a mean taco. Large chunks of spicy, marinated mahi mahi marry well with the crunch of cabbage, the silkiness of crema and the earthiness of corn tortillas. Are they authentic? No, but as long as you understand these versions are a different breed (more Californian, perhaps) you'll agree that they are very satisfying. The lime-inflected Tasajo-style beef tacos are balanced with fiery hot salsa. Even the chipotle chicken tacos sing with the addition of tropical fruit salsa. Wash it all down with a cerveza or an irresistible margarita.
