The Capri Restaurant Review: An Eagle Rock and Occidental College hangout since 1963, The Capri is the kind of Italian eatery most of us remember from our youth. The small room is crowded with leatherette booths and tables topped with red checkerboard “cloths,” and walls are covered with photos of locals and Occidental sports memorabilia. The ice-cold Caesar salad (heavily scented with anchovies) is a good way to begin here. Thin-crusted pizzas, although overshadowed by those of nearby Casa Bianca, are nonetheless outstanding. Nearly all pastas---everything from spaghetti and meatballs to manicotti to linguine with clam sauce---are solid bets. |
