| Carmello’s & Little Portugal offers a dual menu that includes a short but sweet list of Portuguese dishes as well as Italian specialties. Try the Mexilhao a Espanhola or Tapas Mistas appetizers, then move to Frango a Marinheiro (sautéed chicken breast with shrimp and bacon), Lombo de Vaca a Porto (grilled filet mignon in an espresso and port wine sauce) or the lusty and aromatic seafood stew, the Carne de Porco a Alentejana, a heady mixture of pork, clams, and cubed potatoes with garlic and white wine. End the meal with an Italian dessert. Crowds here are generally well-heeled and well-dressed, so you may not want to drop by in shorts and a T-shirt. |
