THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Carmine's Restaurant Review:

From Albany, Carmine’s is another Italian kid on the block, and he’s here to prove that Italian-American cuisine can make peace with Texas Hill Country casual cooking. The twain have yet to meet in a meaningful way in the kitchen (diners can catch the action at a kitchen-facing counter), but connection is close with savory gnocchi and sea scallops surprisingly (and successfully) served with a tiny lemon tart. Chicken Carmine’s also pays tribute to lusty local cooking, but the homage that is the Hill Country pork chops fails to bring its entourage of mushrooms, sausage and potatoes into disciplined orbit.
