THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Carro de Boi Restaurant Review:

For $15.50 at lunch and $24.95 at dinner, you can sample all you want of a very good salad bar whose star dish is a room-temperature salad of collard greens just lightly stir-fried and served as is. The classic Russian salad-style Brazilian potato salad is addictive, and the beans and rice, to be adorned with a sprinkling of seasoned manioc meal, are topnotch. The crisply fried yucca may be the best in town. Among the meats, the spicy sausage and rosy lamb are highlights, but we remain fond of picanha, a traditional Brazilian cut of beef that seems salty to some, but is rich with flavor especially if enjoyed rare. The pork loin may be a bit dry, and the top sirloin and chicken hearts way overdone. Delicia de Mamão, a papaya cream-cassis dessert, is pure Brazil. The wine list is lacking, and so are the glasses in which the wine is served, so we hope as time goes on, someone will see the light and make improvements. Children 5-10 years of age dine at half price, and those under 5 eat free, making this a good spot for the family.
