Casa Bonita Restaurant Review: Casa Bonita provides one of the most unusual dining experiences around. This sprawling low-light establishment is a subterranean wonder of caves and waterfalls, a Disney-meets-Taco Bell where atmosphere is the big draw. And who needs a meal when half-naked staffers are high-diving from faux cliffs into the water? It’s incredibly wacky, and just part of the entertainment taking place in this Acapulco-at-night theme restaurant. In addition to cliff divers, patrons can endure, er, enjoy, roving mariachis, mock gunfights and puppet displays, all designed to thrill the younger set. And make no mistake, it’s the kiddies who enjoy this south-of-the-border Chuck E. Cheese. The carnival attractions keep youngsters captivated while diverting adult attentions from the poor quality buffet-style food here. We never come here hungry. |
