| Located just outside Claremont Village in the Packing House, a redeveloped citrus warehouse, Casablanca celebrates Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisines with a menu that draws inspirations from Athens to Amman. The casual, bustling spot is popular with students washing down kebabs with beers and families sampling a wide array of appetizers that includes falafel, spinach or cheese pies, hummus and baba ghanouj. In addition to kebabs, main courses include scampi, garlicky frogs’ legs, deep-fried trout and nicely seasoned lamb. Traditional kebabs and Middle Eastern specialties are generally well prepared and portions tend to be generous. During warmer months, the patio comes alive with festive patrons enjoying hookahs and, on weekends, wandering belly dancers. |
