Centro Latin Kitchen & Refreshment Palace Restaurant Review:

Omnipresent restaurateur Dave Query's hip and trendy Latin kitchen and refreshment bar, housed on the West end of Boulder's Pearl Street Mall, is a buzzy, budget-friendly and pulsating dining den that sizzles with a young crowd of revelers who hang out on the two patios, imbibing Mexican beers and potent south-of-the-border cocktails, like mojitos, grapefruit margaritas and pisco sours. Inside the dining room, walled with bold-hued, conversational art and decked out in rustic woods, patrons graze on small plates that run the gamut from green chile chicken tamales and gazpacho to chimichurri mussels and smoked pork belly masa cakes. If you're looking for more sustenance, consider the smorgasbord of large plates: rotisserie chicken with sweet potatoes; seafood and potato enchiladas; flank steak sided with Peruvian potatoes; and griddled shrimp soft corn tacos. Pretty much every night features specials, including $2 tamales on Tuesday, plus there's a late-night happy hour Thursday-Saturday and an all-night happy hour on Monday.
