 Cézanne at JW Marriott Santa Monica Le Merigot boasts a sleek bar, warm wood accents and romantic high-backed booths. The menu is a combination of Cal-French and classic bistro fare, inspired by seasonal, local and sustainable ingredients. Starters might include tortilla soup or tuna three ways (spicy tuna roll, tuna ceviche, sesame seared tuna loin), while main dishes range from roasted Berkshire pork chop with grainy mustard and peach chutney to roasted Arctic char served with whipped potatoes, baby spinach, red wine sauce and balsamic vinegar reduction. Sautéed Pacific halibut receives a Niçoise-style preparation with tomato and olive relish and lemon vinaigrette. There are also a few pastas to choose from, such as fettuccine primavera with roasted chicken and organic vegetables. Among the temptations for dessert are a lemon meringue tart, raspberry chocolate mousse cake and homemade bread pudding with rum custard.
