THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Chadwick Restaurant Review:

Chadwick is named after the famous organic gardening guru Alan Chadwick. Owned by chef Benjamin Ford (son of actor Harrison), the restaurant’s co-chef is Govind Armstrong, formerly of Pinot Hollywood and Chasen's. The credentials are all there and the result is certainly fresh, tasty and imaginative. This cozy and romantic setting can get very loud, but if you manage to sit outside, the experience is perfect. The wine list is as imaginative as the menu. Dishes like Arcola garden tomatoes with Burrata and Thai basil or seared frogs' legs with caramelized shallot and chanterelle custard in sweet pea vinaigrette make interesting starters. Entrées feature standouts from all categories, including seared sea scallops with fresh succotash and crisp pancetta; oak wood-roasted breast of squab and foie gras with cipollini onion and mushroom ragoût; and grilled pork loin with red wheat berries, Tuscan cabbage and shallot confit. Lunchtime selections include a lobster BLT sandwich with sweet pea remoulade, as well as entrees like walleye pike with roasted endive, torpedo onion and golden carrot cream. Don't forget the powerful desserts like the Millennium Cake, which is a Scharffen Berger flourless chocolate cake with alternating layers of vanilla and coffee mascarpone cream.
