Chan Darae Restaurant Review

: Although no longer owned by the Chan Dara group, this restaurant still delivers the same type of solid Thai food, such as satays, mee krob and pad thai. To start, calamari is sliced thin and deep fried, then seasoned with green tea powder, while roasted duck is stuffed into a flour tortilla and served with mustard, hoisin and pickled ginger. Curries can be extremely spicy and come with chicken, shrimp or scallops. Large plates include a lamb shank braised and coated in a massaman curry sauce, grilled beef tenderloin in a basil and chile sauce, and deep-fried soft shell crabs when available. Desserts are minimal, but feature fried bananas with ice cream.
