The Design District's longest-running restaurant is still charming diners with French bistro items and hot lunch entrées that are listed on a chalkboard. As you might imagine, Charcuterie offers Parisian deli favorites like salmon mousse, vegetable terrine, a tomato-and-brie sandwich on crusty baguette and a charcuterie plate with pâté, prosciutto and saucisson. Actually, we prefer the fresh seafood treatments such as grilled salmon with shallot and vermouth sauce or rainbow trout amandine--especially with a glass of house white. Salad Niçoise is presented classically with the sort of balanced, emulsified vinaigrette that only the French seem capable of. Warm and well-bred service is almost as sweet as the creamy crème brûlée.
