THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Charley's Crab Restaurant Review:
For some of the best seafood in the Detroit suburbs, you can't top Charley's Crab. This flagship restaurant has been incorporated into the Joe’s Crab Shack empire since its founding. Fortunately, the Texas-based chain knows a good thing when it sees it and left the décor unchanged. The interior design pays homage to all things of the sea. An aside: the ceiling beams and paneling in the main dining room were transported intact from a Grosse Pointe mansion. The real draw at this multi-leveled space, however, is the menu, which consists of freshly prepared salmon, lobster, crab legs, sea scallops and other finny dishes. There's a terrific raw bar, too. Try entrées like macadamia-encrusted mahi mahi or lobster ravioli. Hunker down under the nautical-theme lights and enjoy everything from a sonata to Sinatra, played by live pianists.
