Chattaway Restaurant Review: This kitschy venue has been in business for more than half a century, serving up burgers, grouper sandwiches and soups to generations of families, college students and a transient community. The current owners have busied the place with patio tables and flowers in big tubs, fountains and statues hither and yon. What hasn't changed, though, is the reliable Chattaburger, an institution among burger-lovers. It can come with hand-cut fries or onion rings, black bean soup or chili. (For vegetarians, there's a meatless version.) Service is friendly and equally casual; sodas come in the can, chips in the bag. Still, it's a good place for meeting friends for a quick bite. |
