Cheffie’s Cafe Restaurant Review:

The fast-food concept of building your own sandwich or salad gets a little upscale at this locally owned casual café from Memphis chef and cookbook author Jennifer Chandler. Diners may choose from a menu of already perfected recipes for salads and sandwiches and watch employees make them fresh. The more adventurous go off-menu and build their own creations. Salads are massive and could easily feed two people, while the sandwiches are well-crafted and filling. Quality ingredients include arugula, mixed greens, artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, Black Forest ham and apple wood-smoked bacon. If you’ve saved room for dessert, try the house-made gelato or sorbet. Cheffie’s offers a few boutique wines and handcrafted beers. Located on the seven-mile Shelby Farms Greenline, the café is a favorite among local cyclists.
