: The newest creation of accomplished restaurateur Brad Everts, Chesapeake lives up to its name by serving fine seafood, commencing with Manhattan-style fish chowder and continuing with choice Fanny Bay oysters, crab and shrimp Louie salads, and a fine cioppino of shellfish and vegetables cooked in an aromatic, red wine-based broth. Fresh fish are simply broiled over alderwood; guests choose from a lengthy list that includes Hawaiian yellowfin tuna, Pacific red snapper, Idaho rainbow trout and New Zealand sea bass. For those who can’t say fish and grin at the same time, the menu offers chicken breast, prime rib and filet mignon. The decor is simple but pleasing and the atmosphere stimulating, thanks to the crowds that flow through like the tides virtually every evening.
