THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Chez Bernard Restaurant Review:

Though Bernard Eloy opened Chez Bernard eight years ago, his charming French bistro has attracted little attention over the years. Eloy is an older French gentleman who looks like he’s more comfortable behind the butcher counter than schmoozing the public. Indeed, when the restaurant opened, the butcher counter took up more space than the tables. A remodeling has changed all that and now the airy space has a spacious wood bar, where Eloy’s exceptional Burgundian wine collection can be sampled. He offers 45 selections by the glass and over 600 by the bottle---and a 40-seat dining room. The menu is as traditional (and reasonably priced) as they come, with pâté, onion soup, bœuf bourguignon, coq au vin. No Asian fusion here. Chez Bernard is exceptionally romantic if, for no other reason, it really feels like France.
