THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Chez Max Restaurant Review: Many French restaurants have come and gone on this jinxed site, but this one looks set. Owned by Marco Pierre White and with Max Renzland as the inspired chef, the classics here---Lyonnaise salad; confit shoulder of lamb persille with haricots flageolets and roast garlic---are given a modern light touch without losing their familiarity. It all happens in a perfect rendition of a French brasserie, with large posters on the wall, black and white tiles and comfortable seating.
