Chez Papa Ernie's Restaurant Review: You would be forgiven for missing the restaurant altogether as it is tucked away in a residential area and the only welcoming feature is a painting of a penguin dressed in a tuxedo. At the entrance you will see diverse artworks including landscapes by local artist Chaim Teitelbaum. This glatt kosher family restaurant --- run by Papa Ernie himself --- is part deli although its menu is decidedly that of a restaurant, with a wide variety of traditional fare and variations thereof. The place takes pride in its well-known burgers that are served with fries; smoked meat, salami, knackwurst and even pineapple chicken are offered as well. There’s a wide selection of steaks including a 12-ounce rib steak, a marinated, tender slice of beef filet, or a boneless beef filet. |
