New York's famous Magnolia Bakery is making its debut in the Windy City in October. Treats will include cupcakes, cakes, pies, cookies, brownies, muffins and banana pudding. Magnolia Bakery, Block 37, 108 N. State St., Chicago, IL 60602, no phone available.

What’s Next at Next
Chef Grant Achatz has announced the upcoming menus for Next Restaurant. The fall menu is themed around "Childhood," and it will be followed by food taking inspiration from Kyoto in the spring and Sicily in the summer. Next Restaurant, 953 W. Fulton St., Chicago, IL 60607
 



Chef Shuffle

Tribute has announced that Jared Case has been appointed executive chef. New dishes from his menu include bacon wrapped scallops with grilled asparagus, crispy potatoes and tarragon mustard cream, and a Yankee Pot Roast with whipped potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
