Sexy steakhouse STK, part of the New York-based The ONE Group, has opened in River North. This is the tenth STK outpost, and like the others, it offers a club-like setting with live DJs, dressed-up diners, drinks and gourmet bites developed by The ONE Group chef Aaron Taylor. Latinicity, a Latin American market, will debut at Block 37 in the Loop in 2015. Weber Grill Celebrates Sweetest Day
Weber Grill Restaurants (River North, Schaumburg and Lombard) will celebrate Sweetest Day from October 16-18. GAYOT Week Menu at Vie September 15-19
Vie is offering a special three-course menu to celebrate being chosen for GAYOT's Top 40 Restaurants in the U.S. list in the 2015 Annual Restaurant Issue. This GAYOT Week Menu, able from September 15-19, 2015, is priced at $55 plus tax and gratuity (additional $25 for optional wine pairings). The à la carte menu will also be available. New Specials at The Izakaya at Momotaro and Nellcôte
Since the passing of the Happy Hour bill in Illinois, many restaurants have introduced specials around the 5 p.m., after-work time, including two in the West Loop neighborhood. The Izakaya at Momotaro, 820 W. Lake St., offers two courses for $19 or three for $23, including corned Wagyu beef tongue and simmering Asari clams. The price includes a Tiger beer and a flavored shochu shot. Nellcôte, 833 W. Randolph St., offers any pizza (margherita, lamb merguez) and domestic beer for $10, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wed.-Sun.
