Chicago's Steak, Seafood & Pasta Restaurant Review: Chicago’s not only prepares good meats but also offers some unusual surprises and blackboard specials that keep the locals returning. The interior is appealing, with a piano bar, large, comfortable booths and soft lighting. Its servers work in teams, and dishes arrive from the kitchen hot. Appetizers make good bar noshes, especially the stuffed mushrooms and pan-roasted mussels. The lobster bisque is a silky smooth version, rich with lobster flavor. To complement the beef, including a slow-roasted prime rib, there's always a fresh fish entrée, ribs, two veal dishes, creative pastas, an herb-crusted salmon and pork chops. Chicken entrées really shine: pecan chicken with Bing cherries over mashed sweet potatoes and Greek chicken with garlic, lemon, olives and feta cheese. A value note: Chicago's includes a salad, potato and veggie with each entrée. There's a full bar with a good selection of small-batch bourbons and single malts. The modest wine list is approachable and priced well under the norm for Atlanta. |
