THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Chicken & Eggroll Restaurant Review: If you're lucky enough to grab a stool at the Chinese-style open kitchen, you'll get an up-close-and-personal view of the wok chef's sleight of hand. Stirring things up since 1978, the slightly scruffy Chicken & Eggroll is still swamped by regulars. Try the specialty of the house: marinated boneless chicken breast, deep-fried and drowned in savory spiced brown gravy. It's served with an egg roll, but we suggest you ask the cook to whip up some vegetable chop suey instead---a perfect foil to the crunch of the chicken. There’s also imperial shrimp fried rice, made with large shrimp and chunks of vegetables, and the special wonton soup, chock full of pork as well as dumplings. For a real treat, take the kids on a school holiday. They'll thrill to the cooking show behind the bar while munching on the good rendition of sweet-and-sour chicken.
