Every outpost of Chili's features a bar, and the after-work crowd and sports fans pack it in the evenings. The popularity can be attributed to the extremely casual, usually loud atmosphere. Or it could be the menu with a slew of simple appetizers (the tableside guacamole is a top pick), salads, sandwiches and plenty of meat-minded entrées, including platters of baby-back ribs and fajitas. Those looking for healthier options will enjoy the six entrées on the "lighter choices" menu, all 600 calories or less. Crayons and a colorful kids' menu are presented to the little ones, who are served beverages in cartoonish cups. But chances are it's the reasonable prices that have patrons standing several deep in the lobby at lunch and dinner.
