 This new-wave Chinese restaurant looks like a Californian bistro and serves some of the best Chinese food in town. Sepia-tone photo portraits of the extended Chin family provide the unifying decorative theme in the two art-deco-inspired dining rooms. The imaginative fare respects the traditional dishes yet often yields unexpected flavors---snails with coriander in garlic broth, for example, or sautéed leg of lamb with leeks. We love the shrimp dumplings and duck salad for starters, and the Peking duck dinner. Unlike most Chinese restaurants, Chin Chin has an excellent, well-priced wine list.
