| Chola's reach sometimes exceeds its grasp as it casts a wide net over the varied cuisines of India. Tandoor dishes of the north, vegetarian specialties of the south, even Jewish specialties of Calcutta are on the menu, the latter thanks to author Copeland Marks. Service is hit-or-miss, the restaurant is scantily decorated and some dishes are done much better elsewhere. |
