| The quiet hamlet of Lafayette has a hot spot on its hands with Chow. This comfort food destination offers approachable, healthy American fare with Italian, Asian and Mexican influences at rock bottom prices. All the favorite dishes are here, from the crispy chicken wings to the juicy hamburger nestled up against a pile of salty fries. Vegetarians may opt for the meatless lasagna, one of the crisp crust pizzas or a big salad. Meat-eaters tend to become addicted to the brined pork chop or the pot-roasted short ribs. Desserts are hard to bypass, especially the ginger cake with pumpkin ice cream and caramel sauce.
