Christopher's Restaurant Review

: This majestic restaurant in Covent Garden overlooking Waterloo Bridge and the Thames is a remarkable success. Christopher's has been through a major refurbishment resulting in a beautiful ground-floor martini bar and elegant first-floor dining room. The menu is still American based but more international than you might expect. There’s a fashionable raw bar with selections from scallop ceviche to beef carpaccio, or go for the Maryland crab cake or blackened shrimps or even foie gras. But the main reason to go there is still the American-inspired dishes like lobster, Prime steaks and the classic surf ‘n’ turf, and, of course, the cheesecakes and maple pies. Good wine list. Set lunch Mon.-Fri. 2 courses £18, 23 courses £22; pre- and post-theatre dinner 5pm-7pm, 10pm-11pm. 2 courses £16, 3 courses £22; set Sunday supper 2 courses £25, 3 courses £29.
