THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Cielo Restaurant Review:

Cielo, which means “heaven” in Italian, offers a deceptively unpretentious, Italian-accented menu that embraces everything from shrimp hotsi totsi at the bar to filet mignon Milanese in the dining room. Pastas are standouts with offerings like perciatelli putanesca Tuscan-style made with white anchovies, gaeta olives, capers, long hots, garlic and olive oil, or the house-made pasta braids spiked with hot cherry peppers, crumbled fennel sausage, olives and mushrooms served with an artfully made red sauce topped with shaved ricotta salata. Seafood selections, such as flounder, simply and skillfully sautéed in butter with lemon, capers and white wine, are equally as satisfying. Wines are suitable for the fare. Desserts are few but tempting --- consider the tiramisu. The often-packed dining room and adjacent lively bar do not make Cielo an ideal setting for a quiet dinner, but if you’re looking for a fun night out, the energetic vibe is just the thing.
