In a neighborhood known for its catwalk-like sidewalks, celeb-loaded SUVs and an energy that could rival anywhere in the city, Cielo is refreshing in its relative lack of 'tude. That is, if you can get in. The club's philosophy is that a tight door outside makes a great club inside (i.e. if you're not wearing shoes that scream this season, don't even get in line). But if-when you do get in, electronic music fans will be taken to auditory paradise. Nicolas Matar, the club's owner, whose eight-year tenure at the famed Ibizan club, Pacha, made him one of the most famous names in the DJ biz, installed the city's best sound system. And he has done it in a room that's made for serious clubbing and where revelers dance into the night. The room is lined with cozy leather booths, and if you want to lounge, be prepared to lay down some serious cash: bottle service only.
