| Though under new ownership, Cioppino, the restaurant, remains but one part of a spacious and comfortable lifestyle complex. The décor encompasses rich textures and colors---especially crimson and gold, dark woods, leather and contemporary glass chandeliers. Enter into the stylish bar where management aims to combine an urban lounge experience with a warm neighborhood feel. You can meet here for cocktails, nosh from a bar menu, order from the full menu or bond over events broadcast on large plasma TVs. A clubby cigar bar accommodates the smoking subset, while a private room offers business and party amenities. The main dining room attracts a casual but sophisticated crowd, along with a full coterie of just-after-work suits. The “Tuscan-inspired” menu weds seafood, chophouse fare and small plates---and, of course, features cioppino, the signature San Francisco-style fish stew. Not surprisingly the dessert menu includes tiramisu, panna cotta and amaretto cherry cheese cake. |
