Circle Bistro Restaurant Review

: Quiet, somewhat off the beaten path and oddly soothing, Circle Bistro plus the bar take up the pool level of One Washington Circle Hotel. In the evening, you can opt to sit in the darkened bar and order from its menu while you chat up friends, but you may want to just head straight to dinner. Best bets for starters are the cannellini bean soup enriched with the snappy flavors of chorizo sausage and the roasted beets sprinkled with goat cheese. If you favor chorizo, carry on with its spiciness with the roasted monkfish entrée, or switch to something milder: the grilled shrimp risotto is a good option. We like the mango and sour cherry crumble, but the sticky toffee pudding, a holiday season fave, is a good alternative. Breakfast and lunch menus are also available. If you are headed to the nearby Kennedy Center, ask about the pre-theater menu at $35, served between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
