THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED City Sip Restaurant Review: Echo Park’s modest rents and promise of becoming the “next Silver Lake” have begun attracting restaurateurs, and also this solid wine bar, a venture of "CSI" producer-turned-sommelier Nicole Daddio. Guests sip from a selection of about 40 bottles at any given time, with prices and service both quite agreeable. No pretentious attitude prevails here, which is consistent with the ’hood, and the establishment offers a nice selection of cheeses and charcuterie, including a country pâté with Morello cherries, and smoked trout with white anchovies and horseradish crème. Bruschette are topped with everything from figs and Gorgonzola to asparagus, goat cheese and hazelnuts. The décor is simple: a blackboard behind a prominent red bar, small tables, and wines displayed in niches along the wall.
