Claim Jumper Restaurant Review: The huge menu, contrived lodge house-cum-saloon décor and low prices indicate a chain restaurant---which is exactly what it is---but the experience is better than ordinary. Fill up on favorites like above average steaks, fresh fish, rotisserie chicken, baby-back pork ribs, big salads, pasta, sandwiches and burgers. Fresh-baked potpies and wood-fired pizzas are particularly appealing, while the signature six-layer chocolate "motherlode cake" will knock you out as much for its massive size as for its over-the-top sugary impact. Bring the kids, too, because the staff is well trained to handle rowdy parties and the noise level easily absorbs the sounds of little fists banging on highchair trays. |
