Club Lucky Restaurant Review: A blast from the past, this old-world Italian joint knows how to speak the language of pasta and pasta e fagioli, sautéed spinach and penne arrabbiata. Plenty of appealing choices can be found, from a stuffed artichoke and calamari calabrese with cherry peppers, roasted garlic and white wine to homemade eight-finger cavatelli with marinara sauce. The Art Deco bar with its collection of vintage martini shakers is certainly worth a look --- and the martinis aren’t bad either. What’s more, there’s something appealing about the availability of affordable, family-style meals. For dessert, nothing but the buttermilk chocolate layer cake will do.
