The setting---airy, modern and casual---is part of the reason for this restaurant’s popularity, but the eclectic menu is the real draw. You can make a meal of the appetizers: coconut onion rings with horseradish-mango sauce, shrimp empanadas in avocado sauce and crab cakes with garlic-ginger aïoli. If you insist on an entrée, signature dishes include osso buco Buenos Aires, turkey picata and sweet-potato-corn tamales. The walls are hung with modern art, and the daily happy hour is suitably festive. At the L.A. (read: Silverlake) location, a covered patio attracts smokers.
