THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Colosso Restaurant Review: The motto here is “Be Patient,” and with good reason, since the service in this utterly charming tapas spot is often a challenge. But it's usually worth the wait if you like to party where Portland's grooviest hipsters hang with libating locals at this dark (very dark) spot. The gilded walls and arresting art pale in comparison to the entertaining staff. The drinks are topnotch, especially the freshly squeezed fruity ones---try the potent, coconut-spiked Lime Richard---and the atmosphere becomes happier and livelier as the evening progresses. When you get hungry, the available tapas will satisfy a wide range of tastes. A signature dish, prawns in chili sauce, or pistachio-crusted goat cheese will make you swoon. |
