This bakery with French-style tables and chairs is a peaceful oasis and a good drop-in spot for a huge cup of organic coffee and a chocolate brioche. Locals pick up their daily quota of fresh-baked organic breads, such as onion ficelle, crusty olive-studded sourdough and rosemary sourdough rolls. The casual lunches and dinners feature sandwiches, wraps and unusual gourmet salads, like the crunchy multigrain version with nuts and cranberries. Of the menu's heavier fare, we like the hearty pasta cakes---layered baked pastas, such as angel hair with a spinach and ricotta filling---served with a light mesclun salad. Finish off your visit with a beautifully presented mini pear frangipane tart.
