THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED This is a pleasant re-creation of a retro diner, with chrome-edged Formica tabletops, booths, swivel stools and all. Yes, the meatloaf plate is a lotta food for the money, and, yes, all the ice cream treats you recall---sundaes, sodas, shakes, floats---are available. And at Comfort Diner, August is milkshake month, when each day features a new shake (like blueberry cheesecake). The sandwiches here are generous, the omelets neatly filled and folded, and the staff accommodating if crisp, in true diner fashion.
