Comfort Market Restaurant Review: Comfort Market started out as more market than eatery, but has since morphed into a successful version of the reverse, complete with table service. The menu relies on local ingredients as much as possible, and some of the most popular dishes are the bacon-wrapped dates, the chicken and artichoke sandwich with melted Swiss and mozzarella on a toasted baguette, and the warm s’mores tart for dessert. Local wines by the glass are available, as is a nice line-up of craft drafts. It’s still fun to browse the “Market” part to see what gourmet treats are on the shelves, and to relax in the casual, open-air seating overlooking the Village of Arroyo Grande.
