Matthew Kenney’s newest hot spot, adorned with lots of black and red lacquered accents, is the perfect backdrop for the amazingly sexy people that dine here. If you can take your eyes off the lithe model at the next table, you’ll notice a menu of what can be described as comfort food for the new millennium: a black bass ceviche, crab cakes, ricotta ravioli with pea shoots and hen-of-the-glance everything sounds great, and while much of the food is good, it often falls short of the high expectations placed on Kenney’s cooking. The wine list also makes every bottle sound interesting (luckily, most of the wines on the well-chosen list are), categorizing bottles as soft and sumptuous, savory and exotic, deep and lavish, and other seductive adjectives.
