THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Contigo Restaurant Review:

Contigo seems to fly under the radar in the ever-burgeoning restaurant scene in Tucson, and regulars at this tiny “cocina Latina” seem to like it that way. What better way to enjoy the sophisticated vibe and authentic flavors than to have an intimate dinner with friends? Begin with tapas sourced from all over the Latin world. Dates present a double dose of pork --- Spanish chorizo inside, smoked pork wrapped around the outside. Gambas al ajillo are also quite popular. And if you can’t make up your mind, let the chef decide with the tapas sampler plate. Arroz con pollo, a comfort food, is a little more upscale here. The chicken is blackened with garlic and accompanied by rice, black beans and a unique green olive tapenade. House tacos are stuffed with tender braised short ribs, a smoky tomato salsa and sweet onions, with jalapeños adding the ideal amount of heat. Not surprisingly, there are plenty of seafood choices on the menu, including merluza negra, black cod served with corn, Swiss chard and chile oil. The wine list is compact but worldly, and the pours pair well with any dish.
