| This Foothills dining room brings Latin influences to a town overrun with Mexican joints; its décor and food offerings are totally modern. On our list of “musts” is the tasty las favoritas, a small plate of Spanish chorizo-stuffed dates wrapped in bacon and warmed to a melty, sweet, salty treat. We also recommend the patatas bravas from the small tapas part of the menu. For an especialidades de la casa, behold the chiles en nogada, a treat from Puebla, Mexico. The dish holds quinoa-filled chiles topped off with a lovely walnut sauce. It's both contemporary and traditional. Finish with xiocolata con churros, Mexican donut sticks rolled in cinnamon sugar with a thick, dark chocolate sauce for dipping. |
