The fern bar fad has come and gone, but nobody's bothered to tell the folks at Copeland's, where fake Tiffany lampshades and plastic plants set the 70s scene. The local Copeland's chain was the creator of Popeyes fried chicken (the peppery, flash-fried model), so the food here emits a high level of salt, pepper and smoke flavors. If the seasoning makes the blackened fish taste like the seafood platter, it doesn't seem to bother the restaurant's fans, composed mostly of families and couples who apparently judge food on the intensity of its taste.
