| Copper Canyon Grill carries on the tradition of big, bold flavors in a setting to match. Forget that this is part of a restaurant group: the eatery’s management and kitchen staff pay attention to the details with fresh food and inventive cooking. Yes, you may find dishes that sound familiar, for who hasn't enjoyed appetizers such as the spinach-artichoke dip? Often these are pallid offerings with little oomph---here the mixture is melded with a generous portion of Monterey Jack cheese. The dippers? Fresh tortilla chips. And roast chicken is ubiquitous, but here the half-roaster is rubbed with 30-plus spices before it cooks over an open wood fire. We also suggest the ribs, but would look as well at the hearty meal-in-one sandwiches, such as the bacon cheeseburger. Incidentally, if contemporary food seems too daunting, tuck into the meatloaf.
