THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Corkbar Restaurant Review:

Corkbar pours more than 70 labels by the glass --- predominantly boutique California producers --- and additional wines by the bottle, plus some interesting hand-crafted beers. The modern, sparely decorated space is dominated by a high, semi-circular bar, while two patio areas accommodate al fresco sipping and noshing. A short but thoughtfully conceived menu features burrata with carrots, blood orange and pine nuts, and black sesame-dusted hamachi with white soy and grapefruit, as well as entrées like hanger steak with fried yucca and brown butter béarnaise. At lunch, sandwiches include a fine burger topped with bacon and an 80-degree egg, and a pork belly sandwich with pineapple and jalapeño. Desserts are not an afterthought, and might include the likes of orange panna cotta or pistachio sponge cake with passion fruit and a nifty caraway crème fraîche. Housed in South Park’s Evo building, Corkbar is a great resource for the condo owners living upstairs and throughout the growing downtown community.
