| Baltimore is not exactly a barbecue town, but it does have a home-grown grill jockey or two. The Corner Stable is justly renowned for its slow-roasted baby-back ribs, fried chicken, and heaping combination plates. These come with two sides---baked beans, mac ‘n’ cheese, and coleslaw lead the field. You'll be consuming the goodies in a dimly lit barroom of a place, curled up in a comfortable booth, sometimes shouting to be heard over the raucous crowd. But then that's part of the fun---nobody will bat an eye when you lick that spicy Texas-style sauce from your fingers. |
