Cornerstone Restaurant Review: Diner-style restaurants may be a dime a dozen, but Cornerstone's appeal is stronger than ever despite several incarnations. At its original location it gained a cult following among hungry --- and hungover --- Sacramentans before moving inside a nightclub, only to move again a year later to its current location, two doors down from the original. This third time is sure to be the charm, as the space is bright and airy, with a welcoming outdoor patio and neon beer signs paying homage to the building's former life as a brewhouse. The menu is what you'd expect --- bacon, eggs, pancakes, omelets and the like, as well as burgers, sandwiches and salads for lunch. Arrive before 8:30 a.m. and take advantage of the Early Bird Special, $3.95 for any three items, with choices such as bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy, or french toast.
