| The Corvette Diner is pure fun. Who doesn't love big, comfy booths festooned with James Dean posters, rockin' 1950s-style music played by a live DJ, and waitresses with beehives and ponytails who throw Bazooka gum at your table? A favorite of the under-ten and over-fifty crowds, Corvette serves juicy burgers, crispy fries and dreamy milkshakes. The classic American menu also includes vegetarian selections and hearty sandwiches like Mom used to make. We usually stick with the burgers, but the open-faced turkey sandwich smothered in gravy can sometimes lure us away. Come on a Friday night and you will have to be patient, for this is the hot spot of San Diego family dining. |
