Counter Culture Restaurant Review: Counter Culture, a longtime favorite among Santa Feans, keeps its customers loyal with generous servings of salads, sandwiches, and smothered breakfast burritos. From spring to fall, the outdoor tables are packed with locals enjoying generous Niçoise and caprese salads. During the winter months, people warm themselves inside with loaf-size sticky buns and those breakfast burritos draped with green chile and cheese. The popular sandwiches and hand-formed burgers are delivered with fresh haystack fries, and entrées include a number of seafood options, like the grilled rainbow trout with saffron aïoli, sautéed kale and fried tomato. If your belly isn’t already bursting after your meal, try a wedge of chocolate cake.
