| Counter Culture has always been known as a sandwich haven, but its entrées are quite gourmet. For a good lunch, order a burger and fries; the fresh, hand-formed patties and fries rank among the best in town, and you won't pay an arm and a leg for a burger on par with what you might find at a steakhouse. The spinach and chicken enchilada comes with plantains; order a side salad for a healthy kick. For dinner, try the grilled rainbow trout with saffron aïoli, sautéed kale and fried tomatoes. And don't leave without a brownie. Though Counter Culture is essentially a neighborhood café, the flavors are mighty and the portions generous. |
