The Counter Restaurant Review:
The Counter is a bright, shiny chain built on custom burgers. Diners choose from a selection of meats (beef, turkey or chicken), buns (English muffins, honey-wheat rolls, or no bun at all) and many toppings. Customization is great; we'd prefer the burger be consistent in quality. Beer and wine are available, and outdoor seating can be had along California Avenue, the sleeper main street to Palo Alto's primary University Avenue.
